Back 2 School

I officially started my VERY last quarter at FIDM! I thought I would share my first day of school look with all of you. This past week I have been so busy, I have moved into a new apartment with my friend Drew. Be on the lookout for an apartment tour. Also, I am still interning at both Rachel Zoe and Chic Little Devil so that is keeping me busy. I can not believe I am in my very last quarter, time sure does fly.

San Diego got a dose of Marie!

My last few days of spring break were spent in San Diego! I have never traveled to this part of California and took a train ride along the coast to get there. My aunt, uncle and two cousins were there while my uncle had a convention/meetings to attend. They invited me to tag alone and hang out with them at their hotel and explore. Of course I said yes! Vacationing with my aunt involves a lot of good eating, drinking and shopping. Which we did!


I arrived in San Diego in the late afternoon, we stayed at the Hilton Bayfront hotel. It was BEAUTIFUL, our room was on the 30th floor, overlooking the bay.



We quickly walked to San Diego’s Little Italy and explored. It was such a fun little town. I am basically 100% Italian so it was nice to finally be around some true Italian culture since moving to LA. We had reservations at this Italian restaurant Bencotto. The restaurant was amazing, they served all homemade pasta and everything was made from scratch. I ordered homemade black squid ink gnocchi with lobster bisque sauce with shrimp.



The second day of my trip we went for breakfast and walked around the Gaslamp Quarter. It is filled with restaurants, shops and art galleries. After we took a 2 hour boat tour. It was so nice to be out on the water and see how beautiful San Diego is.



After we took the boat tour we got ready for dinner. We had reservations at the new restaurant Juniper and Ivy. My aunt and cousin are huge fans of  the show top chef and the winner Richard Blais opened this restaurant. We got to talk with the chef, Richard Blais, himself and he even gave us a private tour of this kitchen. The food was amazing and was one of my favorite meals of all time.



Day 3

The third day we went shopping and laid out by the pool the rest of the day. The pool was crowded but it was nice to finally be laying out in the warm sun.


Day 4

The fourth day was my last day! It was so much fun to see my family and I had such a fun time. I took a train in the afternoon and back to LA I went.
